THE MONSTER CHALLENGE 🚵♂️🔥
Ready to take on an epic day of riding? Wine Lands Cycling Club is bringing you the Monster Challenge on 10 October — a social club ride exploring as much of the incredible South Trail Network as possible!
📍 Starting & finishing at Somerbosch
🐲 THE MONSTER — ±117 km | Start from 07:00
The ultimate challenge! Take on the full route, climbing up Helderberg all the way to the tower before winding your way through the incredible trails of the South Trail Network. Complete the full Monster and earn yourself a prize + serious bragging rights! 🏆
👹 HALF MONSTER — ±60 km | Start from 08:00
A solid challenge for those who want a big day out without taking on the full 117 km.
👾 MINI MONSTER | Start from 09:00
A shorter adventure and a great option for younger riders — the Mini Monster is suitable for kids!
🚦 STAGGERED STARTS
You can start anytime between 07:00 and 09:00, depending on your chosen challenge. We encourage everyone to start in groups and ride together!
💧 WATER POINTS
There will be water points along the routes to keep you fuelled and hydrated.
🚲 BIKE WASH
Your bike will definitely deserve some TLC after taking on the Monster! Bike wash facilities will be available at Somerbosch after the ride.
🌭 POST-RIDE BOEREWORS ROLL & DRINKS
Somerbosch will be serving up a boerewors roll and drinks for hungry riders after the challenge!
Pre-order your boerewors roll and drinks when you RSVP so you don’t get left behind when the hungry crowd arrives! 😋
This is not a timed event — it’s all about the adventure, the challenge, completing the route and, of course, earning those bragging rights! 😎
Whether you’re taking on the full Monster, the Half Monster or bringing the family along for the Mini Monster — everyone is welcome, all levels!
