Wine Lands South Trail Status – 21/7/24

You will have all been aware of the recent storms which have wracked our Winelands. Unfortunately, the rain and floods have also wrecked many of our trails.
As at Friday July 19: Our Trails team has not yet been able to assess all trails in our Wine Lands South network. Also: most trails are still extremely wet/muddy or even flooded.
Therefore, we must officially request:
FIRST: Please keep off trails, which could be further damaged by riding upon them. We know there are some jeep tracks, which could be ridden on, without damage – and you are welcome to use these. But please be extremely careful to not damage any trails further.
SECOND: Please be WARNED that the safety of trails has NOT been assessed, yet. Therefore, you are urged to proceed with caution. In particular, certain bridges have been washed away. Riding these, and any damaged trails, could be extremely dangerous.
THIRD: Certain trails have been closed by land-owners. Please obey any instruction not to enter specific areas.
